128 parameters?

Post by friend_kami » Fri Aug 25, 2006 6:03 pm

is there a way around the 128 parameter limit?
ive got some things which has alot of parameters, but i cant hook them up to my controller since theres (silly, as it is) no "native" midi support for them.

be it software or whatever, just curious if theres any way around this limitation at all?

edit: wrong section i think, sorry about that. slightly drunk :D

You should be able to get around it if you are willing to use an extra host cabled in through rewire or as a VST. I think you can access more parameters in both Bidule and energyXT and definately with MAX. May be more expensive to both your wallet and your CPU. Not sure exactly how since I personally don't need it.

EnergyXT (35$) will load as a vsti inside live, and it will let you assign midi controllers to just about anything.
mbp 2.66, osx 10.6.8, 8GB ram.
