Problems when rendering to disk
I've been working on a large song today. It has 30+ tracks and quite a few plug-ins. It got to the point where I really couldn't listen to it because of droupouts so I was going to mix the whole thing down to give it a listen. after about 6% of rendering it froze and now I keep getting error messages telling me to save the file under a different name (which I have) using the "save as" commad. nothing seems to work. I even tried rendering it in smaller groups of say 5 tracks and that wouldn't work.

id presume so
try saving the the sepreate tracks as serpate clips
and slowly bringing them into a new set
and ditch the old one, and hopefully that will work
im having a fairly similar problem, where it seems that sometimes Ableton does something, and corrupts the files you are using...
but in your case, you have the ability to save your tracks as clips, and just import them in a new set, im pretty sure you it might work.
