VST (or other virtual) transport controls? (for touchscreen)

Post by jeebustrain » Thu Aug 31, 2006 6:14 pm

I have a Panasonic Toughbook with a touchscreen that I'm going to start using instead of my HP to gig with. Also, at the same time, I've moved from keyboard to drums in my band. I'm using live to trigger sequences, samples, and other things, controlled by a Roland SPD-20.

Problem is that I'm looking for a way to start/stop sequences using the laptop screen touchpad. The Res of the screen is 1024x768 on a 12" screen, and the normal transport buttons are a little small. So what I was wondering was if anyone knew of any utility vst that would just display either transport controls or at least a series of buttons that I could assign to be transport controls via cc#. I'd like the buttons to be big and easy to see and reach for. I can't use the pads because on several songs, all of the triggers are filled up. Plus, I'd like the simple ability to assign other functions to an onscreen control.

I've thought about rolling my own, but my programming knowledge in this sense is a bit limited, so I was wondering if anyone had done anything like this before.

nobody?

I've searched KVR and can't seem to find anything. There has to be something like this geared towards tablet/touchscreen users
