Hello everyone.
I am trying to sync up the Yamaha Clickstation (metronome with MIDI input) with Live 5.2. I have tried nearly everything and it's still not working. Has anyone gotten Clickstation and Live to work together, or have any ideas?
My setup is very simple:
- Mac Powerbook running Live 5.2
- M-Audio Uno Sport 1x1 MIDI Interface
- Yamaha Clickstation CLST100
My settings:
- Preferences: Output on USB Uno set to "Sync" only (tried track output as well)
- Tried both "Song" and "Pattern" mode
Simply nothing. According to the Yamaha manual, the Clickstation is acting as if it is not receiving any MIDI signal. The Uno Sport "midi out" light does indeed light up. And I double-checked that I don't have the in/out cables reversed.
I have the same exact setup going into an old drum machine (Kawai R-50) and it works perfectly. (I am using the Yamaha Clickstation instead of this drum machine because it has some other useful features like Aux In, a vibration pad, nicer click sound, etc).
Please help if possible. Thanks.
Edit: After finding reports that other people had problems their Clickstation as well, I returned it and bought a Boss DR-90 instead. The Boss worked with Live instantly.
