Has anyone got the Propagamma ASIO driver (super low latencies) available from http://www.usb.ausio to work? As soon as I select the ASIO driver Live 2.1.1 crashes. Mouse still works, but I have to force quit. I also tried in the Beta 3 and it crashed also.
The driver seems to work OK in other applications (Peak 3.21 , Digital Performer 3.11) and can be set up and configured without crashing.
I've tried a few options from the Live Options.txt but again nothing seems to makes any difference.
So far Propagamma haven't had much to say and at this point I'm kinda regretting the expensive driver purchase. It seemed like a perfect solution for a very portable system. My plans were to input Spongefork into Live and process, so a driver like this seemed the way to go...and I need it to work for a performance at the Woodstockhausen festival.
Thanks
Propagamma ASIO driver, Griffin iMic, OS 9.2.2 G4 powerbook
latest driver
The driver is the very latest. It was just purchased a couple of days ago. Could the problem be anyway related to copy protection from other software Digital Performer, Peak or Waves Gold? (just a wild guess) I have also sent a complete fault report to support@ableton along with the log file and other. Live is also 2.1.2.
Propagamma has come up with a temporary fix. The problem seems to be caused by a new chipset in the imic. The quick fix until the updated Asio driver is released is to start up Live, configure the Asio driver, exit preferences THEN plug in the imic.
Have to add that the people at Propagamma were extremely quick in coming up with a solution.
Hope this helps.
