Whats the best way to capture a good sample.

Anyone have any suggestions for a signal chain for sampling Keyboards. For example you would run the Keyboard out throught a pail of LA-3A's then say a Neve 1272 preamp to get that analog feel and then into your soundcard. I'm looking for some punch, the samples (drums, percussion, synths etc.) would be used for Dance Techno, House 4 on the floor stuff.

on pc, use soundforge to record.
