What's the easiest way to do this?

Ok, what I wish I could do is:

If I could split the two views to seperate windows, then I could take the grooves I've made in Impulse for example, and drag them into the Arrange view like loops.

It seems the only way to do this now is to Record them playing from the Session view into the Arrange view in real-time, then go into the Arrange view and isolate/re-order from there.

In other words, non-realtime jamming...arranging/composing like one would with Acid and loops. Does that make sense? Drag-n-drop would eliminate a step or two, no? Another good argument for splittability of the two views? :?:

/or am I retarded?

If you drag your loop over the arrangement/session buttons (upper right) you can drag it between the two...or just press tab!

I think what you are looking for is this:

Grab a clip in session view and drag it to the top right of the screen over the horizontal lines that incidate arrangement view. The view will automatically change and then you can place it wherever you want.

You can also grab a clip and then hit tab...then place it wherever you want.

Hope this helps

YES!!! :D

That's exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much, I can't wait to try it out tonight. And I'm feeling a little lame for not just experimenting with it more to see what would work, seeing as how logical that all is...

Thanks again!
