ReWire Logo Pro 7 to Live 5

Does anyone know if Logic Pro 7.2.2 can be used as a slave to Live 5 using ReWire? I'm trying to figure this and find it rather confusing.

Logic MUST be the master.
You start Logic first and Live second. Then quit Live first and then Logic.

Within Logic, you must bounce the stereo mix in order to actually record Live's output into Logic's Audio Window.

Logic + Live = not too friendly but work together.
Live + Reason = MIDI triggering of Reason's instruments... very friendly.

Hopefully someone will come out with a universal protocol which talks between all audio programs in both audio and MIDI. Core Audio/MIDI in Mac OS X can and should implement it.
