Record from my USB PodXT and my Firewire 410 simultaneously?

Post by wflanagan » Fri Sep 29, 2006 1:35 am

Hi,

I'm writing songs using Live. Right now, as I'm working out stuff... i have to record my guitar, and not my vocal.

I am wondering if there is a trick to allow me to record both my POD via the USB port and the firewire on different channels AT THE SAME TIME. I know i can flip between "input configurations", but can I record one track off the USB PODXT and another off the FireWire 410 at the same time?

Thanks for any advice,

William

I also know that I can take the audio out of my POD and go into my firewire.. i'm trying to stay digital and not do a double conversion.

Thanks,

William

Get ASIO4ALL (it's free...just google it) . Activate both devices in it, then select it inside Live.

Answer: Ctrl Arm

All,

SOmeone else answered my question.. and it's so simple. Hit control when you try to arm the second track. It will say "Exclusive Arm" and it will deselect it. Now, you can record from all your digital inputs simultaneously...

Hope that helps someone.
