I just purchased a MacBook Intel Duo Core/2GHZ/512 MB Ram running on OSX 10.4.6
when i open the live demo and press play, the cpu loader meter maxes out about half way through the demo and stutters like crazyand makes it unlistenable.....so annoying
sorry if this problem has been posted already, but Ive looked around on this site and dont see the exact problem, so if anyone can help please do.
(Im actually planning to buy Live 6 in the near future, but i'd like to learn the program in depth before shelling out $600 for something i dont kow how to use)
Is Live 4/5 optimized for intel duo core processors? Do I need more RAM??
Thx

download the live 6 demo, and try that. It is substantially different from Live Lite 4, and has mac Intel support, which could be your problem with live lite 4 on your intel machine.
The demo is free and has full functionallity ... perfect for learning.

and by the way ... if you have live lite 4, register it with ableton, and then purchase an upgrade to live 6. Then you will only need to pay for an upgrade and not the full price for live 6 ... substantially cheaper
