Problem with multicore/processor support and UAD card
I ported a Live 5 dj mix set into Live 6. I have two UAD plug-ins on the Master track. The set plays fine most of the way through, but at some point the CPU load suddenly goes from about 34% to over 50% and the sound turns to complete static. If I turn off the UAD plug-ins, the static stops. If I turn off multicore/multiprocessor support, again, everything is fine. Not only that, but my CPU load goes DOWN from 34% to like 25% with mc/mp support OFF. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around? Am I doing something wrong, or is multiprocessor support on this thing seriously screwed up?

Hi FloatingPoint,
some third-party plugins might not fully support multiple cores or even interfere with Live's usage of multiple cores. This may result in lower overall performance. It depends on the technical details of the plugin implementation. Please your plugin's documentation, maybe multicore support is addressed there.
Regards,
Andreas
