in live 5 i could alter the buffer size ad libitum, now in live 6, when i do, the sound gets distorted (pretty much like extreme erosion settings), even when I use higher buffer sizes. just a very small spot of buffer sizes are usable. I can live wth that (in fact the lowest buffer sizes I have ever experienced) but I thought I should report this.
my maschine: macbook 1.82, 2 gigs of ram OSX 10.4.8, tascam us 122 (driver 3.4.0)
