Live with PT HD?
Live with PT HD?
Anyone know how well / or well not, Live works rewired to Protools HD TDM???? upsides and downsides please! thnx!

Hi Red,
Been using Live rewired into ProTools 6.1 for a while and as a rewire slave it's working just fine. Only problem has been the high CPU usage by Live in sessions with a lot of effects. I'm recording Live's output into sessions that are pretty track heavy and PT's needs a lot of CPU to play back these tracks and go into record at the same time, I have PT's set to 75% CPU and it's been hard to keep Live under the remaining 25%! Found that I have to either cut back on effects in Live, or split Live's tracks into 2 sets, or record into a new session of PT's and import those tracks back into my main session. All that said, CPU usage seems to have improved with Live from 2.1.1 to the latest 3.0 betas
