How many people use Ableton?

Post by simonadcock » Mon Oct 16, 2006 10:48 am

Hello,

I'm writing an essay and need some approximate figures for the number of people using Ableton. I've tried emailing but got no joy. Anyone got any suggestions? Or want to have a guess?! lol

Cheers,
Simon

I have a friend that uses it, too.

So that's 2 for you so far.

Cool, cheers!

I know a few people too, so I'm thinking like at least 10.

OK.. OK... back to 3!

Seriously, I'm surprised the Abes won't help you out with any numbers. Obviously, the numbers will be skewed, as not everyone who bought Live uses it, and there's probably a fair number of pirate users out there, too.

I emailed them and they said they wouldn't tell me... Don't know why.

I read somewhere that the piracy rate in the music software industry is thought to be around 80%, ie for every copy sold there are 5 illegal copies!

So far that's 3 x 5, which makes 15 users. lol

in the house were I live (squat-like) we are four people with a registered copy, that is maybe the higher ratio inhabitants/lvie copies, you can write it in your esaai too.

There are probably a few animals that use it from time to time. Y'know like Squirrels, a couple Dogs and maybe a Hamster.

there are 17200 members of this group. At least you could put that info in the essay which shows an attempt at research! You can also get an idea of the world spread of users from the membership list.

Actually I think it could be as high as 21-22.

There are 24 users of Live.
And don't forget that 24 is the highest number!
