ableton live 6 & mbox 2 pro...

any reports?

i'm planning to upgrade my soundcard soon and am seriously considering going the with new firewire mbox - especially since hearing the converters are even better than on the digi002!!

BUT -

i use live for EVERYTHING and need to know that the soundcard integrates properly with ableton. does anyone have any experience with this combo yet? any help is appreciated...

according to the website it comes with:

Ableton Live Lite 4 Digidesign Edition

which is indicates it'd probably be fine. maybe take one for a spin with 6 in a shop somewhere if you can....

Where did you hear this (about the converters)? I assume you mean the M-box 2 Pro...? Do you have links to tests etc? I`m in the same situation as you, and have been considering the M-box 2 pro. Reading the spec sheet, the dynamic range of the converters are not that good (107 dB/110 dB) but of course that`s not all there is to it...

okay, i know this is a bit weak, but my friend who's an avid pro-tools user and is convinced of the mbox2 pro converter reports finally directed me to this digidesign forum thread - hope that helps, mortenm...

Well, that thread didn`t convice me about the mbox 2 pro... I won`t make my decision before there are some real tests around.
