creative pcmcia, ableton 6.0, asio4all | problems

I,

bought the sound audigy 2 ZN notebook the other day hoping to get better cpu usage when running ableton. It worked well!

however I installed asio4all so I can cue with my headphones on one jack and shoot to the master of the mixer with the other one, this so I can mix properly using my laptop.

i have a couple of problems :

1- ever since I installed asio4all my ableton either freezes or shuts down. Some times I get a blue screen and the computer boots up once again.

2- when it does work ( for a while only ) i get lots of popping and crackling sounds or even slow downs.

I re installed the machine completely and this keeps happening.

I have a toshiba tecra, 1gb ram 60 gb drive, centrino procesor

whats the correct process to install the asio4 should I uninstall the creative ones ?

I have read around the forum but everyone has different problems.
