As of this week, there are some major new changes afoot. starting this week, we will begin having our BackLitLounge Server, on premise. as soon as i find a suitable wireless router, it will be the Backlit Lounge wireless intranet server. from this week forward, we will be offering up a selection of handpicked and donated freeware and demo preview vst synths, hosts, effects drum machines, etc. and will provide a means for developers to solicit knowledgeable cats for beta tests and be able to chat with them IN PERSON. we are excited about this a see it as a great addition to the Backlit Lounge.
In addition to this, we will be starting a new segment for electronic artists that do more studio creation than live performance. bring 1-2 of your tracks in mp3, wma, ogg or flac format [please put all pertinent information in the metadata], and we will [using traktor and or ableton] "DJ" your tracks for the backlit lounge crowd. eventually, we hope to bring in other digital DJ guests to perform this duty, but for the next week or so, we will be working the kinks out a bit. so if you have tracks you'd like played out but dont really "do" live performance, come on down.
There are a couple more surprises in store, but those are still the process of being set in stone, so to keep from jinxing them, i'll wait, but rest assured, they are big.
