Djing Tips and Tricks

Post by laurence » Mon Nov 06, 2006 11:09 pm

i reckon that this forum needs a Help Thread for Djs.

I was like a fish on land under a dripping tap when i first set out using live as my main dj...urm...thingy so heres to helping out fellow djs whether beginning or pro...

I have a few tutorials/tips/techniques/links but would like to get a more comprehensive list before posting them.

If anyone has any links/tips/anything at all that relates to djing with live give us a shout and il add them up and post it in a couple weeks.

Headings so far:

The Beginning: What you need to know djing with live

Equipment

Sample Database

Incoporating MIDI into your sets

Audio Effects

Looping on the fly

Music Styles

Downloads

Advanced Djing
Subheadings:
Linking programs
Virtual Scratching
Extreme Mixing

Recording

Link to hoffman2k's sticky, of course!

etc.

you get the idea, be great to hear what ya'll think and to get your input

Take it easy, live-djs!
:D [/u]

That's exactly what I could use man! Cheers!
Just got Ableton Live 6. I'm here to ask a bunch of stupid questions, so bear with me. Cheers.
