6.0.1 Browser crashes constantly

Post by pbajzek » Wed Nov 08, 2006 2:04 am

If I attempt to save effects presets (Live effects or 3rd party) or drag presets from the browser to my set, Live will crash about 50% of the time. Anyone else experiencing this?

iMac G5 1.8 Ghz, 1.25GB RAM, OS 10.4.8

Yeah, it has a couple of times. I have a Pentium D 940 dualcore setup and I noticed that it only crashes when dualcore support is on. It also crashes 100% of the time when dualcore support is on in between loading of tracks.

Yes, I, unfortunately, have been experiencing a lot of crashes. It doesn't happen when I save. It often happens when I'm doing nothing and nothing is playing. I cannot understand what causes the crash. Live 5 did not crash on this computer. It's a Dell Dimension 8400, 3.2 GHz, 3GB RAM running XP Pro SP2. There are no MIDI devices connected.

I've been experiencing a crash once in a while when I drag a rack preset from the browser to an empty midi track. I have mentioned it to support and sent a crash log.

perhaps it is the same issue. Contact support directly to help solve this.

you can make a live crash log by going to the help menu and hold down shift while choosing 'get support' - it will make a log for you to send.

Yes, I've been sending quite a few logs and crach reports to Ableton Support lately. They're very responsive- I hope they can fix the problems.
