Help with warping?

Post by Zade » Thu Nov 09, 2006 1:46 pm

Hi there, I'm new to this forum and to ableton, i have been djing 5 years on cdjs and technics, recently i have been developing my production and have decided to buy a keyboard. The keyboard has faders and pots on it and i am currently trying to use it with ableton, ive got all the faders and pots assigned!!

I've also added tunes into the audio tracks but i can seem to get them in beat??? is this to do with warping? How do i properly prepare a track so that wen i cue it, it isnt out of beat? or a few beats off? i've heard ableton beat matches for you so obviously once the beat is dropped in in the right place it should stay in.

I really wanna get going with ableton its just that fact thats holding me back @ the moment? can anyone help?

Also how do i set up ableton so i can have headphones and listen to the tune which isnt playing out aloud!?

If anyone could help that would be ace!!

thanks alot...

Zade

Nice link man, thanks!
Just got Ableton Live 6. I'm here to ask a bunch of stupid questions, so bear with me. Cheers.
