i was leafing through the new "sound & recording" magazine (japanese publication), and there was a nice spread on the alva noto/ryuichi sakamoto concert set-up.
i always assumed alva noto used max/msp to make his sounds, but was interested to discover that he also uses live 5 synced as the other half of his double-powerbook audio set-up.
it would be amazing if ableton could do an artist interview with him and how he uses live.

yeah, the syncing looked very smooth. 2xg4 powerbooks, one running live, the other max/msp, and midi controller for each. then below the desk, a g5 imac running jitter and midi controllers for that too...plus audio from sakamotos piano going in to the mix too for processing.
id love to see/hear them live, but they play mostly europe, not japan....

i saw them play the Insen concert live here in Melbourne last month. AMAZING.
