Forgive the OT. But my girlfriend just got a new design job and the company is going to buy her a computer to work on. I'm helping her out and trying to determine if the new Intel chips are compatible with the latest Adobe CS stuff. From what I can tell so far (in my 5 minutes of research) is that it ain't happening.
Any idea?

It's announced for Q1 2007 i think.
The UB's will come with the next version of CS.
It still runs in rosetta. But probably not very fast.

im running Adobe CS2 on a mac mini
theres some issues with it not being UB where it could probably be a little faster
but for the most part everything runs as you should expect it
if you go with the mac mini id suggest maxing out the ram, mine ran like shit with 512mb in it from the factory

oh i might add that the adobe UB will be in CS3 not in CS2, and they arent going to patch it...
might be worthwhile to wait just a bit to save some dough

Cool. I'll tell her to go ahead with a Mac Pro. Seems like it's worth dealing with rosetta in the interim.
Thanks!
