recycle 2.1
Is ther anybody on this forum using reason recycle 2.1, if so what do you think of program ,is it any good
raises hand
loves it
can't live without it
the key is to get your beats at the tempo you want them at first (in LIVE)
then import into Recycle and set your tempo to the tempo of your loop
ok
now turn on the grid and zoom in and adjust the markers to taste
export as a rex and in slices
import your rex into Dr. Rex, Battery or import the slices into Sampler or Impulse - get jiggy
peace

nice Program, although i don t know if i would buy it now, cause it s kind of
expensive and does not so much you couldn t achive similar in Live
BUT!: If you have it, don t forget you can also export as soundfont, which
you can directly use with Sampler, which is lot s of fun.
I recommend just to slice a few of your Drumloops and export as soundfont
and midifile.
Open soundfont with Sampler, tweak a bit and you ve got nice and unique
Drumkits real fast.
If you re one of the folks who call for a slicer in Live - this will make you happy
if you own Sampler (or perhaps an other Softsampler which supports soundfonts)

I do have recycle and i use it sometimes. But i think with live you don't need it.
Maybe yes if it was not to expensive.

I considered getting Phatmatik Pro but I use Reason and Stylus RMX and both can make use of REX files.
I get the best of both worlds because I can use the REX file from Recycle in the Dr. Rex player in Reason or I can import the REX file into RMX and I have some of the best effects around available to me to apply with RMX.
Because of my workflow with Reason and RMX, it was any easy decision to get Recycle

Yea recycle is very useful, especially for extracting sample hits out of long(well, up to 5 minutes) audio recordings, ie field recordings/oldscool sample discs. My main beef with recycle and all of propellerheads products is i have to constantly re-register all the @$#@ing time, its so annoying, everytime i want to use recycle it asks for the disk and put the registration in...wtf is up with that
