Live sets loading and massive CPU spikes

Since Last week I noticed that my live sets have been taking a long time too load up. It can take about a minute for even a short set.

sometime the set wont load up untill I double click the screen.

when I run the activity monitor, I found that during loading cpu would spike to 106% and then slowly came down to about 60% cpu.

Prior to loading the set I had 1.37gig of Ram free out of 2gig and loading a project would leave 870 mb free.


I have never had this problem befor nor hve I installed anything recently that is a mssive hog on resources.


I have still over 48 gig free on my HD also, as i just got rid of my windows partiion
