x session pro , midi set up

can anyone tell me why when I assign my cross fader on my x session pro to live , the crossfader in live does the opposite action.

also as anyone got any advice on setting up midi controllers , such as does anyone know whether it is possible to have one trigger button to fiire all clips (but not at the same time).

any general help would be appreciated
