Do VST Plugs still work on Mac Book pro

I'm thinking of buying a mac book pro, but do not have any experiences with MAC OS. Generally VST Plugs do not work on MAC OS, right?
I have a lot of VST Plugs and would be rather disappointed when I lose them after buying a Mac.
Are there any good solutions? Maybe a AU which reads VSTs?

It depends, Live 6 on the Mac can use VST plug ins, but of course they must be UB compatible plug ins too.
