We are sorry that it took so long to get this episode out the door, but we've packed this one with a full 20 minutes of performances and interviews
Our first night in our new home at the Rx Gallery was a roaring success; great artists, great vibe GREAT sound system, great staff!! we look very forward to many more wonderful nights here.
A special thanks to all the artists that came out and shared their art; Submodern, Substanz D, General Fuzz, Blipvert, and our special guest from NYC, Matt Moldover. so great were the performances in fact, that this weeks episode is close to 20 MINUTES!! of laptop/electronica mayhem. enjoy!!
The next Backlit Lounge will be on December 20th. this will allow us to put together a properly ripping good time for, what will be, our Christmas party. there will be a full line up of artists throwing down, an in the spirit of the season, everyone who comes to the Dec 20th backlit lounge must bring a CD [preferably gift wrapped] and we will draw numbers and exchange "gifts" later on in the night. more info on the Christmas party, the line up and special stuff in the next few coming days.
And as always, remember that Backlit Lounge SF is san francisco's only weekly laptop electronica lounge, where artists can sign up for one of five 1 hour performance slots by sending an email request to [email protected] after selecting one of the slots liste at www.myspace.com/backlitloungesf and simply show up and play for our increasing audience of artists...and the people who love them... and from 12-2 am we have a producers showcase where artists can bring their tracks, on CD, flash drive, etc...and have it "spun" into the mix.
Although Backlit lounge will not be happening this week or next week, just know that we are preparing quite an event for december 20th. Enjoy episode #8
