long games in song during analysis?

long games in song during analysis?

after a song analysis, in some of the tracks, there are long gaps either at the beginning or at the end. how do i stop this?

please explain in ableton for dummies style

VBR just stands for Variable Bit Rate. It is a way of encoding mp3s that attempts to maximize sonic quality while creating the smallest possible file. Essentially, it analyzes how much information needs to be encoded throughout the song, then only uses a high enough bit rate to encode just that amount of information throughout time in the song.

However, I do not know how to fix the problem that you are getting. I use variable bit rate mp3s and they seem to be fine.

No, but it would be rad if it had a mini-tetris game in the render window or something..

Hi,

Indeed, these long additional silence happen on a PC with VBR mp3 files when the default Directshow is used to decode the mp3. It is a good idea to install Quicktime player so it is used to decode mp3s.
