Samples missing in Live 6

Post by billpillmore » Tue Dec 19, 2006 11:19 pm

After upgrading to Live 6 from Live 5, I have sessions where I load for example B5 adg and it can't find the samples. They are in the Library/Samples/Waveforms/Components/Harmonics.
When I show through the clips manager where they are - it dosn't remember them from one sessions to the next even though I save ( but not as project.)

What is with the new Live 6 Library system and Live 5? I have tried to set up the Library format as I have read on the forum but the new formats are a little confusing. For example: I now have in the componet folder: file.aif, file.asd, and file.adv. Live 6 can't find any of them unless I show it, then it forgets.
Thanks
Bill

Live 6 has a different management system, read the manual, it's about 5 pages and very much worth it. basically, don't move your stuff around, let Live do it for you.

is a good article on the Live 6 file structure.

Well, after reading the manual and going thru the process - it is all worked out. When I selected the Libary as per the manual it never came up with the option to convert so I had to do it manually.
Anyway everything seems to be working.
