Running two copies of ableton at the same time

When im dj’ing with ableton, I like running two copies on two different screens on one computer…it works great and having two screens to play with is fun but I have a remote 25 sl and when I load the second copy I get a “synch error” like the second copy won’t read the remote 25. I was thinking of using another channel with the remote going midi out into my motu…any idea how to do this? Or any suggestions for dealing with two copies at the same time? Do I need another midi? Another computer? I synch both of them using a efx-1000...
