Hello,
First off, I am extremely new to this whole midi thing so any help is very much appreciated...
I am experimenting with my band with a demo copy of Ableton Live. I would basicly like to use Live just to trigger samples throught our songs with the FCB1010 foot controller I just bought.
I don't have any midi ports on my computer. I own an Edirol PCR-50 which transmits midi data through the USB port. I was told that it is possible to run the midi out of the FCB1010 into the midi in of the PCR-50 and use it to transmit data into the computer. Is this possible, and if so...how?
Thanks!
Ryan

Unless you sound card/interface has a "midi IN" port there's no way you can use your FCB1010 with Live. All you need is a midi in port on your computer or interface and your good to go. If your PCR50 hasa midi in port on it, just simly pluyg your FCB1010 into the port, bam!
Do a search on "FCB1010" and you'll find a lot of info. Live is Awesome! If your PCR50 does not have a Midi in posrt you'll need to get a midi interface or somthing to get the Midi data from the FCB1010 to Live.
