Is it possible to turn audio from sequencerview into clips?

Post by Akribik » Fri Dec 29, 2006 6:25 am

hello,
is it posible to turn audio and midimaterial from the sequencerview into clips(like with the help of the rightclickmenu)? I would like to drag chops into the clips section to edit them and put them back into the sequencerview later.
Sometimes i chop up some stuff and want to add it to the clips sections, as one shots. i hope u understand my problem... :?

if I am understanding the question correctly, you want to copy sections from the arrangement view into the session view? If so, then absolutely. I am not in front of it right now, but in the upper right hand corner, there are two icons representing each view. All you do is highlight the cut section (that you want to copy) from the arrangement view, drag it up to the right and move it over the icon for the session view, and you will now be transported to the session view with the copied audio section in hand. Just drop the audio section into a clip and you are good to go.

As well as the "through the portal" method that Doc Jones recommended, you can also click-hold on any clip in either Session or Arrangement View, while still holding the "click" down, hit tab, and the View changes to the other one. Now you can drag the clip and drop it anywhere you like in the new View.

Very efficient. Try it and see. :D
