unable to zoom grid? (clip view)

ah so ... i'm suddenly unable to zoom into a grid pas 1/16th in a clip view. is their some secret parameter i enabled? is this a new function in version 6?

i was zooming in and out the whole session ... now BAM, can't do it anymore.

what gives, anyone?

note: arrange view still allows me to zoom. i can zoom in clips of midi ... but not audio. ??? anyone.

Hello,

There are two zoom modes: fixed or adaptive. You can change the mode via a right click in the clip view. The default mode changed in Live 6 and that may be the source of your confusion.

hm. i think that may have fixed it i can RTFM, but ... when you switch between those two modes (fixed/adaptive) is it global or clip specific.

Hi Amo,

I've also been puzzled by this. But I still can't find a right-click menu option to change between fixed and adaptive...? (Live 6.03, OSX)

And I still can't get out of 16th grid in the Clip View. I know I'm stupid, but what am I missing?

Hi Paddy,

That grid setting works for MIDI clips only, so you can write notes on different grid level. For audio clip, the grid is fixed.
