Imac Live6 not seeming to recognize my UC-33
I just switched to an Imac. I'm trying to set up a template. I go into midi map mode. I select a channel volume strip. I move a slider on my evolution UC-33, I see the little square at top right corner of Live showing that some data is coming in, however it's not mapping the CC # to the channel I have highlighted. Any ideas?
So, no CC# pops up on Live's interface when you move the fader on the controller?
sounds like your controller isn't sending CCs to live. Are you using a controller template? Need to update a driver for the controller now that you switched?
I am having similar probs with my sl-25, which had been working great for almost a year... only I don't even get that little midi trigger square anymore.
Is there an editor or other program you can test the controller with to see if this is just with live or eveything on the new imac?

Well, I love the imac. It has really uncluttered my workstation which is one of the big reasons I got it. I've been djing on a Mac laptop for awhile, and was producing on a custom built pc (both at the same desk). I decided to sell both and merge them into an imac. Migrating all my plugins from the pc to the mac has been no small task.
In terms of my problem, I'm apparently a retard. I haven't had to play with my preferences in so long apparently I forgot you had to turn "on" remote in the midi sync/midi ports tab of the preferences. The preferences look different in 6 too. It's now working.
