ableton and flstudio rewiring issues

Post by LouisC » Thu Jan 11, 2007 9:06 am

hey guys.
i've searched the forums about the problems with rewiring fruity as a slave to live 6 and all the extra cpu it uses up,
but i'm interested to know what is being done about this and are there any current work arounds? would love to start using fruity with ableton asap but all that extra cpu is making it hard :(
cheers, louis.

I have the same problem (i.e. FL hogs CPU when rewired) and I asked about this before on this forum. I was informed that this is a bug in FL Studio and will be fixed in the next release of FL. Before they release the next version, use this workaround. I just tested it and it works: load FL Studio as a VSTi instrument on a midi track. To record it as an audio track (as you would when rewiring FL Studio), choose an audio track from the "Audio to" pull down menu and then record the audio from FL to that audio track.
