On a Mac, trying to convert .rar and .toast sample folders

I've recently downloaded some drum and loop samples. Those with .sit or .zip extensions usually open up just fine, but i'm having difficulty figuring out what to do with .rar, .ace, .cdi and .toast - anyone else on a Mac know how to open these?
Hope this isn't too stupid of a question.

.rar is another type of compression, similar to .sit, or .hqx
i thought the newest version of stuffit expander could decompress these, but if it doesn't try UnrarX :

.toast is a toast image. you need roxio toast to mount it, or burn it.
