Limiter on Master Bus for LIVE Set?

What are people using on their Master Outs during live perfomances?

I've tried some of the ableton live racks which havnt' cut the mustard, limiter seems to pump and the mult-comp sounds like rubish on my mix which sounds good overall.

What are people using to tame those peaks and lift the loudness oh so slightly with a zero latency footprint?

It's all about setting the proper parameters, you can get compressor II on limiter preset to sound good if you play with threshold and attack values.

I use Voxengo Elephant 2.5 for a limiter when mastering CDs but as I don't run live DJ sets I couldn't tell you if it's latency was an issue.

Learning how to use a limiter / compression will greatly improve your workflow. Books by Bobby Oswsinksi and Bob Katz are useful !

If you want something cheap, easy, transparent, & stable with a nice clean interface, go find a thing called BuzMaxi3.
