MACBOOK CPU LOAD PROBLEM - PLEASE HELP!!!

Post by frederick173 » Sun Jan 28, 2007 8:31 pm

Hi,

Please help me!

Is it normal to get CPU overloads/spikes/glitches with Ableton Live 5 while playing ONLY ONE drum beat audio sample???!!

Here is my system:

MACBOOK
INTEL DUO CORE 2 GHZ
1 GIG - RAM
60 GIGS - HARD DISK (5400 rpm)

I also get overloads when I try to play two audio samples at the same time (or one MIDI + one audio).

Is it possible that my MACBOOK isn't able to run LIVE properly?

I don't understand at all and please tell me if there's something I should do in the settings to get better CPU performance and stop the glitches.

Best
Fred

Sounds like you have a version of Live 5 that's prior to 5.2

Only 5.2 and 6 are Universal Binary (coded for Intel processors)

Update your Live and all will be peachy!
