Project doesn't load anymore ?

I worked on my latest project yesterday and while saving it I had
a blue screen with the following error
irql not less or equal

I googled this error and apparently this error indicates a memory problem
or a cpu overheating problem ..... strange because my 2 gigs of memory
are new and certified and my cpu is watercooled

but after a reboot I cannot open my project anymore

anybody knows what the problem is here ?

isn't there any additional backup (undo's) like protools is having ?

I had the same error, and never really got it sorted out.
I think the library was at fault, but nothing concrete to help you I'm afraid. I just re-installed, made sure the Library was OK and that was it.

PS The remains of the set will be in the Ableton folder 'Crash' [C:/Documents and Settings/User Name/Application Data/Ableton/Live Version/], so you might be able to salvage the clips.

ok, found a solution

Ableton created a temp file located in the same folder
as my project folder named "abletontmp-0001"

just rename that file to yoursong.als and you'll
get all your work back
