Problem with Firewire interface

So i just got a new M-Audio Firewire 410 interface that i run my turntables through and then into LIVE. When i record a play samples through my i tables everything sounds great, but when i try to play a clip or anything in LIVE everything sounds really loud and tweaked out, i mean really loud! How can i get my self out of this little predicament?

Record with low levels.Or high but don't over doit otherwise you will get distortion and sound bud.
