recording from my mpc's digital in/out

ok i got my ib-m208p multi output card installed on my mpc2000xl.i got my coaxial digital audio cables plugged in my digital in and outs and on my co-axials on my soundcard(audiophyle 2496)

i know how to use my multi ouput in analog but i wanna know how do i configurate my spdif and HOW wich in wich out???

i tryed everything and it doesnt work i juse wanna know how to record from my digital in and outs not in analog

somebody can help me???

actually,im trying digital recording with the ''live'' program please help me somebody im a newbie in dgital recording:(:(:(:(

S/PDIF is stereo only.

what you mean???

all i wanna know is how to set my soundcard device to receive the digital signal from my MPC.
how can i record/dump from my mpc to my wav editor.

the only way i know is recording in analog from my multi ouput.

Do you work with audiophyle 2496?

Ah. Err. Hm.

I see what you mean now.

AFAIK, the MPC's digital out automatically mirrors the master outs, so you just need to make sure that you know which sampling rate it's outputting at - probably 44.1 KHz, but I'm not sure.

Then you need to make sure that the Audiophile is set up to use the digital input; on my USB interface, you do it on the box. I don't know about the Audiophile, but it's probably in a control panel somewhere. Make sure it's recording at the same sampling rate the MPC is outputting - again, I don't know how you found at what the rate is, nor how you set up your audio card.

Then you just record like you'd normally do. There should be that big a difference.

that's what i'm actually doing and it does not work.i've set the sample rate to 44 like you say and in the ''live''program i've set the spdif l/r in and the spdif out but its still ain't working.

i think my connections/cables are alright,i've connected my coaxial digital audio cables in-out ou-in

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh fuck man, i've invested 600$ on that outpu expansion and those cables and all i can do is record in analog.

What exactly do you mean by not working? No input at all? Are you sure audio is coming out of the MPC?

there`s no sound coming from the digital in/out.
but i use the appropriated cables(co-axial digital audio cables with rcas)

i can receive in digital when im in sample mode but i cant/dont know how to dump in digital.
