fine tuning loop length with midi controller

Post by bni » Tue Mar 06, 2007 2:22 am

I have been using my midi controller to set the size of loop length, but I am pissed that is is not fine tuned, if I select loop length with my mouse I can tune it very precise, but with my controller I turn the knob and it jumps large intervals not creating a smooth or off beat stutter which I am looking to do, it is very annoying, does anyone know if there is a way to make the intervals finer, in the midi editing window thee is no setting just an indicator that it has been assigned to the knob.
thks all

it has to do with the quantisation of the clips/scene if you put on e.g1/8 quantization it should be possible to finetune

You probably already know this, but an encoder in relative mode gives you finer control than a knob sending absolute values.
