I am using ableton live 6.0.5 with a Focusrite Saffire Le (with the latest drivers)
Using an Asus z96js laptop with 1gb ram
running a variety of plugins including some arturia stuff and GRM tools.
Everything runs fine for a while and then at some point the cpu meter will suddenly jump from %35 to 400-500% and then remain stuck.
Disabling then re-enabling the audio card does nothing. I usually have to restart live, sometimes re-start my computer to fix this.
This bug has become far more pominent in 6.0.3 onwards.
What's up?
cpu meter getting stuck at %501 and won't reset!

hmmm that could be it. I am using a midi feedback trick using midi yoke that allows me to record automation into clips.
I notice that this is far less stable in subsequent releases of version 6.
Also, the major crashes seems to be happening when I use more than one GRM plugin. Not sure if there is some bug with them or they really are using a ton of cpu.
cheers,
