How do you get 4000 POSTS??!!

Post by smartabletonuser » Fri Mar 09, 2007 1:36 am

I'm browsing and lurking this forum from time to time and I want to know how the _U_C_ do some people get 4000 posts? Are there certain techniques for getting so many posts? Do I have to quit my day job?

I just saw someone with 7000-something posts! What did he do? Does he sleep? Does he eat? Answer me you! I know you're reading this!

those guys with the big post numbers are all perverts cruising the internets for weak minded 'musicians' to ...

ah fuck.

some of us have day 'jobs' which involve a lot of status bar watching. Normally I have an IM window open on one screen waiting for some tedious event to complete, meanwhile I am micro editing some breaks and posting here. I've always been like that, doing 5 things at once works for me.
I find there are lots of times when music making that its good to disconnect my rational mind. Reading this forum is very good for that :P

I normally do a burst of writing, then do a bit of reading and typing while some mixes play in the background. Normally something will leap out at me.

www.ghostzilla.com at work. ;) A stealthy web browser no longer available. :(
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghostzilla

I work in front of a computer or near it all day in a cubicle surrounded by sociopaths. The butt loving ball shaving trance loving freaks up in here are more fun than my coworkers.

At night I have wireless DSL on my DAW laptop, I play a while, take a break, and that goddamn alt-h-j keystroke needs to go. I also download stuff people put up, like the tips n tricks sticky, or the racks thread (omfg!).

There's a ton to learn here and I try to return in kind by answering questions for people, which also helps me learn. Read the tips n tricks sticky to see how much crap this forum has collected.

Sometimes it's just a good stress reliever to post something stupid... in the butt.

Strange question coming from a smartabletonuser. 8O

mission - I guarantee that most of the people in the top 20 have made waaaay more quality music than you or I have, there are some seriously talented people in here.

It's whatever the keystrokes are to fire off the menus at the top of the screen.

Be glad you don't know about it. My fingers just go there.
