So, now I'm actually starting to use the synth with Ableton and using the VC with USB for MIDI and piping the 3 outs into my PC Delta 1010LT.
Noticed latency between Battery2 (or any VST) and what was coming in from the Outputs (I had to add an Audio chanel).
I changed the error compensation thing in Preferences but that didn't change anything. I then changed the delay on the MIDI track holding the VC, still no good.
Finally I worked out that adding -84.2MS delay to the Audio track worked. I got this accurate by recording a synth sound on the same beat with Battery2 and looking at the delayed start in the audio.
How have other people got around this in Live?
PS. I get slight latency playing but in Cubase SX3, it direct monitors so no latency playing but not sure about recording it.

I eventually gave up with Ableton Live 6.0.5 with my Polar. It was great with just VSTs but now I've spent dosh on my 1st hardware synth I had all sorts of latency issues with MIDI then Audio then with MIDI >AND< Audio.
I erhum, acquired a copy of Cubase SX3 and in terms of latency, it was all fantastic. So I un-installed it and BOUGHT Cubase 4. Same excellent working conditions, the only slight latency was when I actually record the audio but adjusting the Samples option in Preferences sorted that out. Now I press a key and I actually hear it seemingly immediately!
I'm now just gonna use Live through rewire for perc or something or maybe just eBay it.
I know this is not the solution for everybody but I just could not use my new bit of hardware that I had invested in.
Hope you find yours,
Regards
Mark
