i am using live 3 on a 1ghz powerbook. it is an integral part of my dj set up and goes everywhere i dj. the last two weeks has seen something very strange happen. when i got to my gig in paris, i opened up my abelton 'dj' file and got the error message that 'some of the files were missing - did i want to find them'. so i did and had to reload about 10% of my aiffs. the same thing then occurred with every other abelton file. this took about twenty minutes and was worrying and a pain. then i resaved the file and all was fine.
it worked fine for a week or so but then i did a gig at wmf in berlin on friday and exactly the same thing happened again. this time i didn't have time to reload all the files so couldn't use live. do you have any idea what is causing this? the only thing that makes any sense to me is that it is possible that when i plug my powerbook into non uk mains, it is freaking out. this seems very unlikely but it is the only thing i can think of.
please help!

Missing Files
Same thing has happened to me. I have been using Live 3.0 for about a month and the problem started last week. I started my computer and as soon as I picked a song to work on the missing files window came up. I went through the same painstaking routine as listed above, and after taking 20 minutes to get through one song I called it quits. I ended up erasing all my other material I didn't care much about and started over with the songs.
Everything worked fine for a couple of days and last night I tried to open a Live file sent to me by a friend and the same thing happened all over again.
I would love to know the solution as I am afraid to put any real effort into another song for fear of having to locate the sample sometime down the road. Keep me posted, please.
