here are my results:

test 1: 3%
test 2: 21%

operating system is win 98 se
latency 7 ms with asio

Wow, thanks Gringo.. that was the info i was looking for, anyone else? -> perhaps with a 600mhz p3 laptop (or simular)?. What I am after here is a straight up mhz comparison between the mac and pc while running live.

SO, so far the ibook from apple is at 600mhz and after reading the live performence test 1&2 posts the PC's are smoking the Mac on performance, that is known... but seeing this result from Gringo with an older pc model still proves a lot and gets me thinking about the BIG photoshop is best on mac game...

I am thinking the reason why photoshop and these other graphic applications are best on the mac is because they were written on the mac and optimized for the mac... i wonder what would happen to audio apps if they were writen/optimized for the mac....? would there be much of a performence gain?....

I am a Mac and PC guy now, they both have advantages -but i can only afford one killer laptop and this has really helped me... thanks guys -you ROCK!
