BCR2000 vs BCF2000

Hey,

Want to purchase one or the other...or both. So here are my questions:

1.) What exactly is the difference between the two?

and more importantly:

2.) What benefits would I have if I combined (2) BCR2000s (or BCF2000s) or (1) BCR2000 & (1) BCF2000?

depends on your precise needs. i want to upgrade to 2 BCF's, because I always use more than 8 channels, and using more than 1 of the BCF's 32 presets is not really workable ( in other words, I don't like changing "pages" on the controller - I forget where i am). it would be nice if it had 9 fader strips, one for the master.

i like tweaking effects, so i need knobs. the 8 knobs on the BCF have 4 group buttons, and although these are similar to changing "pages" I think it would be workable for me. especially with 2 BCF's.

just some things for you to consider.

The two controllers are the same in their function except one has knobs in place of the faders. If you were only getting one, I would recommend getting the BCR as you WILL want the extra knobs. The BCF is cool, but 8 knobs is not going to cut it.

On the other hand, if you were getting two, and you like faders, get both controllers. I found that not having faders on the BCR isn't a big deal because setting levels with knobs isn't a big deal at all.

Cool, thanks for the replies. I think I just might get one of each; best of both worlds, imo.

p.s. Do those motorized faders have an On/Off switch? On the BCF...
