recording problem in live

Post by soulshake » Tue Mar 27, 2007 3:47 pm

hey

i got ableton 6.03, windows xp / sp 2 and electribe and m-audio firewire 410 . usually iam recording every single track and it works very good to date.

newly the recording quality of the recorded electribe tracks is really bad. it sounds like 8 bit and also a little bit flanged.

i tried already to record the electribe tracks in wavelab and cubase and it works proper.

the configuration in ableton seems to be right and i didn´t changed anything. i also checked my soundcard configuration and it seems to be proper as well.

maybe my wife tries to sabotage my system :D

does anybody know the problem and how to solve it???

thanx in advance

cheers

Hi,

You should double check everything, that you have ASIO selected as the driver type, that you run the latest driver, that the settings on the track you are recording to are right, that you use an appropriate buffer setting.

thank you for the support.

i tried it but i think the problem seems to be bigger now. newly
when i try to play mp3´s with my winamp player the connection to my audiocard fails. i already remove the driver of my m-audio card and installed
the newest one....

holy shit !!!!!!!!!

i will ask m-audio for this troubleshooting.

cheers
