*Problems* Ground Control Pro + MidiStroke => Ableton Liv

Hi guys, i'm a beatboxer much like kid beyond. I've been doing it for years and feel like its time to elevate the art form.

I'm having trouble getting midistroke to register that my ground control pro is sending messages. I'm very new to this, so i could be overlooking something obvious to you all.
My setup:

I have my groundcontrol going midi-out to my Audio Kontrol box midi-in, which is connected to my Powerbook g4 via usb. Then i have a midi-out from the Kontrol box to the midi-in on my ground control pro. I have midistroke configured to push 'a' when i send through channel 1.

I push my first button which is setup to send on channel 1 and there is no response from midistroke, it doesnt push any of the buttons i assign it.

I dont know what i'm supposed to do.

Is there a special setup i'm supposed to give the ground control pro?
Is there a special src that i'm supposed to have?
What am i doing wrong?

Hi,

I'm not familiar with either your foot controller nor Midistroke, but I know that it would need more precise information than just the MIDI channel: the first button on the Groundcontrol may send on channel 1, but it also sends a note or CC number, and Midistroke should be configured to receive that note or CC number to output the letter 'a'.
